SWD Commander attends Texas Water Day

Owen shared with attendees that the engineers in the Southwestern Division understand the 8.4 million acre-feet of water storage behind USACE reservoirs is key in Texas’s strategy to address current and future water supply needs. SWD understands that water is the lynch-pin to the future economic viability of the state of Texas and that water resources  and related infrastructure are critical elements that will influence the quality of life and economic prosperity of the U.S. in the 21st century.
