Moses Lake Floodgate Inspection

Divers from the Galveston District, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers are examining the Moses Lake floodgates to determine if there are any operation or maintenance issues caused by Hurricane Harvey.

Currently no signs of decreased protection are visible. Results from the surveys won’t be available until the inspection is complete.

The floodgates work in conjunction with Galveston County’s hurricane protection levee.
