Major Rene Rodriguez

Major Rene Rodriguez, the Southwestern Division’s operations officer for the past 15 months, is a third generation American whose great grandparents emigrated to the U.S. from northern Mexico.

Rodriguez works processing all Headquarters, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers tasks and tracks all training requirements. He has served as an Army officer for 16 years and this is his first assignment with the Corps. He joined the Army because he “wanted to give back to our great country. And, as a Soldier, your sacrifice makes a difference.”

The Farmersville, Texas native earned a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice from the University of North Texas and enjoys working out.

His Hispanic heritage instilled foundational values in him which include being “hardworking, proud and family is above all.”

A proud Soldier, Rodriguez says the Army is the backbone of this nation. “If you want to impact the world, join the Army!”
