The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Fort Worth District Public Affairs Office was recognized with a first place USACE 2016 Locke L. Mouton Award for excellence in the category of Media Relations and Public Information.

The Fort Worth District Public Affairs team was awarded for their outstanding communication efforts during the “2015 Texas Spring Flood,” which resulted in the success to timely and accurately provide information on flood remediation efforts to the media, key stakeholders, partners and the most of all the general public. The award honors public affairs practitioners for superior achievement and promotes outstanding efforts in public affairs activities.
