Southwestern Division officials and Brig. Gen. Paul Owen joined Acting Administrator for the Environmental Protection Agency Mr. Andrew Wheeler and approximately 40 other federal, state and industry leaders for an open dialogue discussion on air and water-related topics in Dallas on Nov. 9, 2018.
The Southwestern Division, EPA Region 6 and the Texas Water Development Board have a partnership agreement that enhances interagency coordination for current and future large water supply projects in Texas.
The Water Supply Working Group (WSWG), consisting of the three agencies, formulated a mission statement which guided the development of this Agreement. That statement is: To examine the review process for large water supply projects in Texas and to identify actions that will make the process clearer and more predictable for permit applicants and stakeholders.
